BA (Hons) Business

This degree will enable students to appreciate the importance of the social, ethical, technological, environmental, and global contexts in which business operates. The programme will also develop the awareness of different ethical and cultural values which operate within many areas of business.

This degree looks over an extensive range of how businesses operate looking into the structure, functions, sources of power, management, culture and their ability to respond effectively to a changing environment. The programme will explore the range of influences (both internal and external), on the development of corporate strategy and how this can affect an organisation’s performance, overall effectiveness, and the ability to meet all stakeholder needs and interests.

Upon completion, our BA in Business degree will provide successful students with a sound foundation in business and management. The understanding of the business world will enable students to identify and choose from a range of career options and professions within business.

A typical offer would be BCC at A-Level or DMM at BTEC / 112 UCAS Points.

Foundation Year Entry Requirements

The standard entry requirements for an Integrated Foundation Year are DEE at A level or MPP at BTEC / 64 UCAS Points.

English Language Requirements

All students applying with International or EU qualifications must meet the following minimum English language requirements:

  • IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5.5 in all bands for study at undergraduate level.

Assessments

This programme is assessed via a number of methods including individual management reports, presentations, examinations, group work, boardroom simulations and portfolio writing.
